At 326 Farnum Pike, the Smithfield Elks Lodge #2359 has been a cornerstone of this community long before the recent kitchen renovation sparked conversation. Rated 4.4 stars across 73 reviews, this lodge draws members and guests who keep coming back, not for the novelty, but because it's genuinely theirs. The bar is well-stocked, the crowd is real, and the space has character that chain banquet halls simply cannot manufacture.

The lodge's event hall is the kind of room that makes planning easy. Past guests have packed it with 100-plus people and walked away impressed by the cleanliness, the square footage, and a kitchen that prices food competitively without cutting corners. The flexibility here is rare: outside food is welcome, the staff works with you, and the per-head cost stays honest.

The Elks' mission runs deeper than the bar tab. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has championed charity, veterans' support, and community service since 1868, and Lodge #2359 carries that tradition into every fundraiser, scholarship drive, and local event held on this floor. Come for the event. Stay because it means something.

What We Offer

The lodge offers a full-service event and banquet hall that seats well over 100 guests, making it a go-to venue for birthday parties, retirement celebrations, corporate fundraisers, memorial services, and community galas. The kitchen handles catering at prices that routinely surprise first-time renters, and the staff is flexible about outside food arrangements, a detail that event planners genuinely appreciate.

Beyond private events, the full bar is open to members and their guests with a solid selection of beers and spirits. Regular lodge nights, charitable fundraisers, and member programming keep the calendar active year-round. The Elks also run scholarship programs and veterans' outreach initiatives that channel real dollars back into the Smithfield, RI community.

Membership in the BPOE opens the door to a national network of lodges while keeping the benefits local: discounted event access, a voice in lodge governance, and the satisfaction of belonging to an organization that has done measurable good in Rhode Island for decades.

"Ever since Smithfield elks remodeled their kitchen and closed for long while, now reopened place gone to hell? No more turkey club or Italian wedding soup and grill cheese. Food and beers are really gone up in price and bands are not great? Very disappointed I might not renew my membership, for some people we knew passed away and lot new people? Use go on Friday nights with my daughter for rurkey club or Italian wedding soup and grill cheese , so no use going any more instead go to portugese club in Cumberland cheaper prices and different but better food and great karaoke, And lots parties with great bands and food and friendly people. Sorry elks gone to hell !"

"Hosted an event for about 100+ people. Space was huge, clean, and perfect for our needs. Food was priced very competitively, was good and plentiful, and they allowed us to bring in our own food without additional charges. Bartenders were good, and helpful. Ample parking. Would recommend this space for any large function, and would definitely book this hall again."

"I just wanted to take a moment to comment about the Smithfield Elks. First of all, the atmosphere is very warm & inviting. . The staff is phenomenal. Terry Sanger entertained, & he is a people pleaser. He plays the saxophone, sings, never takes a break except for a moment of silence for Elks who have passed, as they will never be forgotten. God bless all Elks. People are eating, drinking, singing, dancing, catching up with friends. They treat you like family. A great place to be. The manager & the bartender are top notch. C’mon down & join the fun. It’s worth the trip."
